Introduction:
In March 2022 Microsoft forced a change that requires Office 2016 to be updated to be able to connect to o365. This article explains how to toggle Windows to install the updates if required.
Prerequisites:
Before we begin you will need;
- Your laptop or PC.
Technical Level:
Easy
Click on Start Menu,
Click on the settings cog,
Click on Update & security
Click on Advanced options at the bottom of the Windows Update window
If the toggle isn’t enabled for receive updates for other Microsoft products when you update Windows, click to toggle (once enabled it will have your Windows accent colour in the box and state On)
Click the back arrow in the top left corner and click on Check for Updates, once it’s finished checking you will notice a long list of Office 2016 updates, these will install and you may be required to restart your device once finished.
